PRESS RELEASE 34/2004 – F1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
According to the decision taken by the UIM Commissioner and the F1 Promoter in Seoul, - for safety reasons, the Seoul F1 World Championship has been conducted under the match race format in view of the last minute change of the water circuit .
The UIM F1 Daily Management Committee has decided to approve the decision taken based on safety reasons.
However the points obtained in Seoul will not count for the 2004 UIM F1 World Championship Series final classification since the match race format is not foreseen in the 2004 rulebook for the UIM F1 World Championship Series.
Attached please find the overall results prior to the final round of Sharjah of December 17, 2004.
