UIM General Secretary elected to Board of ARISF dated 18 April 2005
The General Assembly of ARISF, the Association of Recognised International Sports Federation of Sunday April 17th, elected the UIM General Secretary as Director within the ARISF Council for a 4 year mandate.
Twenty six out of the thirty recognised international federations attended the General Assembly. The other two Board Members of the Council are Max Bishop from the Airsports Federation and Keith Calkins from the Racquetball Federation. Elected President was Jan Fransoo from Korfball, Vice President Jorgen Sandman from Billiards and Secretary General Barbro Ronberg from Orienteering. Outgoing President Ron Froehlich was nominated President Emeritus, he was mandated to continue his involvement and relationship within the IOC to represent the rights of the ARISF members. The UIM Secretary General aims to continue to defend the few motorised International Federations which are recognised by IOC / Airsports / Motorcycle Racing / Powerboating / Waterskiing.
